The hooker has returned from the France group and is eagerly awaiting Saturday’s meeting.
Rugby Club Toulonnais hooker Teddy Baubigny has been able to taste the France group in recent weeks. However, he is not blocked by the FFR on this weekend when the 6 Nations are taking a break and can therefore play with his club this very important match against Toulouse, which will be played in Marseille.
Having previously been at Racing 92, Teddy Baubigny will experience this very special meeting of the season for the first time, in a Vélodrome which will bring together more than 40,000 supporters. An experience that he is eager to live, as he confided very sincerely to Var Matin.
I am impatient. I can not wait to be there. I want to play.
For me, who comes from the Parisian suburbs, it’s not necessarily a stadium in which I had the ambition to play when I was younger (laughs). But since I’ve been in the region, I know that everyone here knows the Vélodrome and that it’s a mythical venue. We’re going to play in front of more than 40,000 people… for any rugby player, that’s huge!
It’s an incredible event. When I was younger, I watched this kind of stadium on TV. We are lucky to come back as a rugby player. The Vélodrome is one of those stadiums, like the Stade de France, where there is a special atmosphere.
Exit the Blues (for the moment at least), it’s time to get back into the club dynamic. And there is work in Toulon!
