After the teaser trailer released a few days ago, the full trailer has landed online TV series by Tedthe most irreverent teddy bear ever, born from the mind of Seth MacFarlane and protagonist of two feature films released in 2012 and 2015 respectively.
This time, the character will return in a TV series produced for the platform Peacock: the show will be a prequel of the two films and will take place during the early 90s, showing us the beginning of the friendship between Ted and John (Max Burkholder). In the new trailer we discover that the teddy bear is “forced” to attend high school together with his best friend; there he will decide to help John with the small and big problems of adolescent life, including the discovery of sex and drugs. All, obviously, in pure Ted style.

Set in 1993, the series begins when Ted’s moment of glory has already passed and he finds himself living in Framingham, Massachusetts, with his best friend, sixteen-year-old John Bennett (Burkholder), together with the latter’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach), and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted has a terrible influence on John, but he is a loyal and faithful friend always willing to sacrifice himself for his friendship.
In addition to lending the voice to the protagonist, as already happened for the two films, the creator Seth MacFarlane he directed and wrote the screenplay for the series, and is also credited as co-showrunner and executive producer, alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh. Completing the list of executive producers are Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark and Aimee Carlson for Fuzzy Door Productions.
Produced by Fuzzy Door Productions, UCP and MRC, the series will be available on Peacock startingJanuary 11, 2024. It will be composed of six episodesall lasting 30 minutes, except the first, which, acting as a pilot, will have a longer duration.
