Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G: Gaming Phone with Futuristic Design and Powerful Specifications

KOMPAS.com – Tecno Mobile officially launched the Tecno Pova 5 series gaming phone in Indonesia, Tuesday (1/8/2023). There are two models on the market, namely the “regular” Tecno Pova 5 and the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G.

Both of these phones come with a futuristic back design with stripes and asymmetrical camera modules.

Especially for the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G, the back of the phone is equipped with an interactive LED strip light. Tecno calls this LED light Turbo Light Mecha ID Design.

The LED light strip on the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G will light up or flash when the cellphone is turned on, there is an incoming call, a low battery indicator, to animation effects during in-game actions, and others.

Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G specifications

Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is positioned as the highest model because it is equipped with more qualified specifications than the regular version.

In terms of screen, this phone carries a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD Plus resolution (1,080 x 2,460 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

For photography, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is equipped with two rear cameras, namely a 50 MP main camera and a depth sensor. While on the front there is a 16 MP selfie camera.

This phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (6nm) chipset, combined with 8 RAM and 256 GB of media storage. The Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.

With 68 watts of fast charging, Tecno said, Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G can be filled to 50 percent in 15 minutes, or filled from 0-100 percent in 45 minutes.

Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is equipped with Bypass Charging technology, a charging method that goes directly to the motherboard without going through the battery. According to Tecno, this Bypass Charging technology can keep the cellphone cool and extend battery life.

This will increase the comfort of gamers so that the cellphone does not break quickly and the battery lasts even though playing games when it is charging.

Other features that Tecno Pova 5 Pro brings are 5G support, NFC, dual speakers, 8GB Extended RAM feature, side fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/ n/ac.

Regular Tecno Pova 5 specs

The regular Tecno Pova 5 has the same screen specifications, rear camera and memory capacity as the Tecno Pova 5 Pro.

The difference is, this phone has an 8 MP selfie camera, powered by the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset.

For the power aspect, the regular Tecno Pova 5 is equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery with 45 watt fast charging support. This phone also supports the 10 watt reverse charging feature.

Other features brought by Tecno Pova 5 are dual speakers, NFC, 8GB Extended RAM feature, fingerprint scanner on the side, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

Both Tecno Pova 5 and Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G run the Android 13 operating system covered by the HiOS interface system.

In Indonesia, the Tecno Pova 5 series is sold in Amber Gold, Mecha Black and Hurricane Blue color options.

Meanwhile, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is available in Dark Illusion and Silver Fantasy color options.

Especially for the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G, the edition that enters Indonesia is the Free Fire edition. It’s called the Free Fire edition, because this smartphone is the result of collaboration between Tecno and a well-known game company, Garena. Garena is also the company behind the Free Fire game.
