TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – After declaring that he will participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 event, Tecno revealed that the Tecno foldable phone Phantom V Fold will launch on February 28, 2023. Exist foldable phone has been circulating on Twitter in the form of a video.

“We underline our strong belief in the ability of this partnership to continue to provide an unparalleled experience to our customers around the world,” he added.
The Phantom V Fold also represents an extension of Tecno’s partnership with MediaTek as the two brands work together on the upcoming smartphone. “This chip has enabled TECNO to bring the Phantom V Fold to market with a strong flagship experience, and we look forward to continuing this valuable collaboration,” said Finbarr Moynihan, Vice President, Corporate Marketing for MediaTek.
The company’s first foldable phone will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9000+, which has a slightly more powerful CPU than Tecno’s current flagship phone – Phantom X2 Pro.
The short video shows the foldable phone revealing a camera design similar to the X2 Pro. There’s a power button on the side that’s likely also a fingerprint scanner, and the hinge closes all the way, leaving zero gap between the sides.
Considering that the company will launch a global launch later, Tecno is expected to actually bring a foldable device to its international market. So far, only Samsung has offered the Galaxy Z Fold4 outside of China.
