To reduce jitter on telephoto lenses, smartphone manufacturers usually add an OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) component to ensure that the image is more stable.
But usually it only works well for static objects. Meanwhile, for moving objects, users still need to track the objects manually. So that the resulting image is still not optimal.

Well, apparently Tecno Mobile recently presented a new innovation for the OIS system on telephoto lenses. This is called the Eagle Eye Lens, where this innovation uses a dual prism system.
This is the first time, because generally telephoto technology currently uses only a single prism system.
Each prism can move on an axis 1, with respective angles of +/-8° and +/-10°.
By combining two prisms, the camera can automatically track objects, with an angle of +/-16° on one axis and +/-20° on the other.
Tecno even shared a video of how the technology works. In addition, this system will also manage the OIS, with damping corrections up to +/-6°. Both OIS and object tracking are automated by AI.
This system can be used for both stills and video and is claimed to produce better image quality, with sharp images and clear detail, than manually moving the camera to track objects.
This Eagle Eye Lens technology will reportedly be released next year. And this will be presented on Tecno’s flagship smartphone device.
