Asus officially announced the launch of a new pair of gaming phones. Asus ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate It comes with the same flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X (8533Hz) RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

ROG Phone 7 can also enable ray tracing in supported games. This means you get more realistic reflections on water and metal surfaces.

ROG Phone 7 has a 6.78-inch, 2448x1080px Samsung-made AMOLED screen that’s brighter than its predecessor with a maximum of 1,500nits, supporting a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a touch sensitivity rate of 720Hz.

It packs a 6,000mAh battery (divided into two equal 3000mAh halves to improve cooling) with 65W charging, and the new chipset should help extend playback time as well.

On the imaging side, there’s a 50MP IMX766 main camera, a 13MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera. The front camera has a 32MP Quad-Bayer OmniVision OV32C sensor that produces 8MP images.

Asus ROG Phone 7 measures 173 x 77x 10.4 mm and weighs 239 grams. The regular model comes in Phantom Black and Storm White, while the Ultimate comes in Storm White, both rated IP54 for splash resistance.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 Series is available for pre-order today in Europe and Taiwan through the Asus online store and partner stores. The price starts at €999 (about 37800 baht) without the AeroActive Cooler in the box (€110 separately), while the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is €1399 (about 53000 baht) including the cooler.
