The creation of micro sites where parents can request mobile devices is proposed
There are many affectations and great changes that has brought the issue of the pandemic, various economic and social sectors have suffered great effects and changes, the issue of the pandemic has brought us many consequences in our lives, one of the most important has to do with the way in which our girls , children and young people are or are not accessing education.
This was expressed by the federal deputy for bread, Rigo Mares Aguilar who mentioned that the Federal Government proposed a distance education scheme, however, they have not been implemented adequate programs to make this effectively possible.
“We are seeing how, for example, our children and other younger ones and parents are constantly struggling because their children do not have the necessary tools to access online education” On the other hand, he mentioned that approximately 50% of households in Mexico does not have internet, so it is impossible for them to attend classes online, that on the part of the students added to this is the problem of teachers who do not have the necessary technical training to be able to follow up on their students.
Added that this problem has been exacerbated with children with disabilities Due to the fact that as a result of the pandemic, many special care schools closed, leaving infants without the opportunity to continue with their courses, but especially with their psychomotor or language therapies.
Reason for which the deputy raised a proposal to the secretary of public education in which a microsite is created where parents can register and have access to a mobile device or tablets that grants the SEP with preloaded materials all of the above prior to a family training where you can advance in these sessions.
He added that he is seeking the support of the deputies to get approval, thus eliminating school lag and preventing the gap from widening between those who do have the tools to access education and those who do not have it.
He expressed that they are diverse the proposals that are being raised around the issue of education such as negotiating with internet companies to provide free accessibility to families at certain times of the day.
“We must negotiate with internet companies so that during certain hours of the day it is free and free access so that children can access and attend their classes online.”
Finally, he added that it is important to address this problem of education, since education is key for a country. “We are living very complicated times and it is urgent that actions be taken, that programs be implemented to save the school year,” he said.
