Microsoft’s decision to skip the personal part of E3 comes after Nintendo said last month that it would not be at the event at all, while Sony has yet to say whether it will be at E3 2023.
Microsoft’s lack of presence on the E3 floor is a huge blow to the entertainment software community, as the show has lost much of its luster since 2019, when the contact information of more than 2,000 journalists, analysts and content creators was inadvertently leaked.
