Together with Banco de Bogotá, La República will hold a new Digital Housing forum today. The event will aim to explain how people can access home loans through digital platforms and with a 100% virtual mortgage.
The space will analyze how the market works, what improvements the process brings as a result of virtualization, how much customers will increase, as well as what benefits and risks it has in aspects such as investment.
The prospects for the construction sector for 2021 are positive, as it is estimated that it will grow 9.4% in the year and 10.6% in 2022.
These figures would be driven by the good performance in the sale of low and medium-value homes, which will lead the economic recovery.
The forum will have a panel discussion made up of Jonathan Malagón, Minister of Housing, City and Territory; Carlos Jorge Rodríguez, in charge of the digitalization process of notaries and head of digital government at Olimpia It; Goethny Fernanda García Flórez, superintendent of Notaries and Registry; and Alejandro Esguerra, director of digital strategy at Banco de Bogotá.
The experts will address topics such as digital writing pilots in the country; intersectoral work between the Government, the Superintendency of Notaries, and the financial and real estate sectors; the facilities offered by entities such as Banco de Bogotá in accessing digital credit for the purchase of a home; the behavior of the loans granted to clients; and the regions where the most loans have been made.
In addition to the impulse of digital notaries, which currently number 13 and allow various procedures to be carried out, it will deepen on how to massify the virtual purchase pilot, which can generate a reduction of times by half and thus revolutionize the acquisition of housing in the country.
In addition, the barriers that still appear during the process will be identified.
