The PIRELLI Seal Inside ™ puncture protection technology is a tire building technology for enhanced mobility that enables you to continue driving your vehicle safely in the event of a breakdown.

A special sealing layer in the tread area inside the tire ensures that the tire does not lose air even if an external object perforates the tire.

PIRELLI Seal Inside ™ tires contain a sealing layer on the inside, in the area of ​​the tread, which prevents air from escaping if the carcass is perforated. It does not matter whether the foreign body is still in the tire or not. This means that if, for example, a nail penetrates the tire, the sealing compound adheres to the nail and closes the puncture point, even if the foreign body remains stuck in the tire.

This has the advantage that you don’t have to stop in the event of damage. This system offers protection against almost 85% of all possible accidental causes of pressure loss, thereby preventing this and increasing safety.

An important advantage is that the puncture site remains closed even after the foreign body has been removed. The Seal Inside ™ system immediately closes the hole. Thanks to the quick action, in most cases the driver does not even notice that the tire has been perforated.

If a nail penetrates the tire, the sealing compound adheres to the nail and seals the perforation if the nail remains in the tire.

When the nail is removed, the sealant will be drawn from the nail into the hole as the nail emerges or is pulled out of the tire. This will seal the edges of the hole. The performance of the tire is not affected.

This ensures the safety and protection that you can comfortably drive home or to the nearest DRIVER CENTER without your tires leaving you in the middle of the country. For the safe use of Seal Inside ™ technology on the vehicle, neither special rims nor a tire pressure monitoring system are necessary.
