Tebboune insists on training teachers specializing in deaf-mute education

ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune insisted on Sunday on the importance of the creation of a national school for the training of teachers specializing in the education of deaf-mutes, which will be operational for the back to school.

According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic at the end of the periodic meeting of the Council of Ministers, the President of the Republic spoke at the end of the presentation by the Minister of National Education on the creation of a national school for the training of teachers specializing in learning deaf-mutes.

As such, Mr. Tebboune focused on the creation of a national higher school for the training of teachers specializing in the learning of deaf-mutes who will enter service the next school year, while working to confer on this establishing an African and Arab dimension in this area.

President Tebboune also insisted, continues the same source, on “the need to take charge of all sections of society, especially people with specific needs in order to guarantee education and learning adapted across all the wilayas of country”.

To do this, Mr. Tebboune instructed the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform to “create a hospital establishment for the care of the hard of hearing and the deaf, focusing on the development of the operations of the cochlear implantation, in partnership with Algerian start-ups active in the field “.

The President of the Republic “has also instructed the Government to find the appropriate mechanisms for the care of autistic children,” the statement read.

Regarding the proposal to create a baccalaureate in the arts (audiovisual, theater and cinema …), the President highlighted the key role of culture and the arts in the realization of the expected change and the diversification of the national economy.

In this regard, the President of the Republic underlined the need to “strengthen artistic education in the educational environment in order to make it a breeding ground for talents, while developing it at the national level in the various specialties to achieve a real artistic industry “.

The President underlined the need for “the orientation of talented students since their first year of secondary school towards an artistic branch with a view to providing them with early training and opening the way for young Algerians to develop their gifts and passions in the various specialties”.

In the same context, President Tebboune underlined “the importance of complementarity and coordination between the sectors of education, higher education and vocational training in terms of artistic training”.

Mr. Tebboune highlighted the need to “bring together all the conditions favorable to the success of the project to create the baccalaureate of arts aimed at training a new generation of art professionals in the various disciplines of this promising field, while exploiting the enormous historical heritage of Algeria in its international, African and Maghreb dimensions and promoting it in artistic disciplines “.
