Teatro Real to Host Christmas Eve Solidarity Dinner for 100 Homeless People

MADRID, 24 (SERVIMEDIA)

The Teatro Real will be the setting chosen for the traditional Christmas Eve Solidarity Dinner of Messengers of Peace, in which 100 homeless people and families in extremely vulnerable situations will participate.

This initiative of the organization chaired by Father Ángel, which started in 2015, serves to give visibility to homeless people by holding these Christmas dinners in emblematic spaces such as the Prado Museum, the Congress of Deputies, the Senate, the Círculo de Bellas Artes and the Palacio de Cibeles. Last year, after the restrictions of the pandemic were overcome, a cocktail-style dinner was held in the Auditorium of the Complutense University.

Both workers and volunteers from Messengers of Peace and the Teatro Real will participate in this celebration. It is expected to serve dinner to more than 100 homeless people, and another 100 will have the opportunity to go to the Church of San Antón to share in this event.

The Teatro Real, inaugurated in 1850, is one of the main opera houses in Spain and is located in the heart of Madrid, in the Plaza de Isabel II. With a rich history and impressive architecture, the Royal Theater has been a cultural and artistic reference in the city. According to Messengers of Peace, Real’s participation in solidarity events such as the Christmas Eve Solidarity Dinner “demonstrates its commitment to the community and its desire to contribute to social well-being.”
