A teaser for a new Lego Harry Potter game has reportedly been spotted on Instagram.
The picture that VGC was sent but not posted due to copyright issues was reportedly seen on Warner Bros South Africa’s Instagram page before being quickly deleted.
The Image shows a Harry Potter Lego minifigure with the date “8.25.23” and a logo of TT Games, the company behind the Lego video games. If the teaser is legit, it could be the first confirmation for the long-rumored Lego game, which is set to depict the Harry Potter universe in the vein of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
A source familiar with the project confirmed that the game is still in development, but couldn’t confirm the legitimacy of the ad. VGC has contacted Warner Bros. for comment on this story.
Interestingly, the date of the teaser, August 25th, falls on Gamescom, Europe’s largest games fair. Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 and Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 were released during the Xbox 360 generation and later bundled into one collection, which was then ported to PS4 in 2016, Xbox One and Switch in 2018.
