With Teams for Home, Microsoft is setting the course for merging personal and professional functionality.

Teams for Home is launched.
Microsoft has grouped several features under this brand that complement the collaborative work platform.
Their common point: they are intended for personal and / or family use. We will also access it as part of the subscriptions Microsoft 365 Personal and Family*.
Today, we start rolling out new features for your personal life, in preview to the #MicrosoftTeams mobile app on iOS and Android. Learn more on our blog: https://t.co/uaYi0SuBAy pic.twitter.com/vBuZEqboui

Here they are available in beta. To an overview, we will connect to the Teams mobile application with a personal account.
Among others, we will find:
- Group conversations and calls
- For each group / conversation, a “dashboard” tab where you can find shared items: task lists, calendars, photos and videos…
- Integration of Word, Excel and PowerPoint (no file editing, however)
- Location sharing
- “Safe” with double authentication to store items such as logins and passwords
Microsoft expects wider availability (web, desktop applications) for this year. In the meantime, it invites users … to fall back on Skype.
The interconnection site of the two software has ended there is little. Skype and Teams users can find and chat with each other. End-to-end encryption is currently limited to written messages.
* Microsoft 365 Personal is € 7 including tax per month or € 69 per year. It takes 10 € / month or 99 € / year for the Family package (up to 6 people).
