At FIFA Ultimate Team, it’s time for Team of the Year. The FUT event for the Team of the Year is of course also this year, we will give you all the information.
EA Sports opened the voting for the Team of the Year on January 7th. Fans can now vote for eleven players who they think should make it into the selection. Voting ends on January 18th before EA releases the coveted TOTY cards:

When is the FUT 21 Team of the Year coming out?
It is not yet known exactly when the strong special cards will appear. Just recently the first headlining team. We can expect the second headlining swing on January 8th. Because EA Sports traditionally publishes new events including special tickets on a Friday, January 15th was already assumed. Voting for the Team of the Year will run until January 18th, so the TOTY event may start on the following Friday, January 22nd.

Who can vote for the Team of the Year?
At FIFA 20, for the first time everyone was allowed to vote for the Team of the Year on a website that was newly set up for the event. In previous years, this was reserved for athletes, media representatives and selected members of the FIFA community. This year the fans can vote again.
In which formation will the Team of the Year play?
As in previous years, the Team of the Year appears again in a 4-3-3 formation. So four defenders are wanted in front of the goalkeeper. The top team is completed by three midfielders and three strikers.
How does the TOTY event affect the transfer market?
It is quite possible that you can get a bargain or two during the TOTY week. Because the Team of the Year cards are extremely popular, many packs are opened. This inundates the transfer market with cards, which in turn causes the prices of many cards to fall. As always, however, it is not possible to make a precise forecast of the behavior of the market.
This is what the Team of the Year 2020 looked like
There was a minor surprise last year because Cristiano Ronaldo did not make it into the TOTY-Eleven. On the offensive there was no place for the Portuguese in the trio consisting of Lionel Messi (99), Kylian Mbappe (98) and Sadio Mané (97). Then EA voted again for the “twelfth Team of the Year card”, so CR7 made it after all.

Kevin de Bruyne (98), N’Golo Kante (97) and Frenkie de Jong (94) made it in midfield. The defensive was formed by goalkeeper Alisson Becker (97) and the back four Andrew Robertson (94), Mathijs de Ligt (96), Virgil van Dijk (99) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (95).
