Zurich greener – that is our vision. Green City Zurich maintains, designs and manages the public green spaces. These make up around 40 percent of the city’s area. With their work, our 580 employees contribute to the high quality of life in the city of Zurich.
Green Education teaches and addresses the connections between people, the environment and individual actions in an innovative way with 120 events per year. We are looking for you as the new head of this team as of December 1, 2024 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- You will take over the personnel and operational management of the Green Education team with five project managers
- They ensure the conception and implementation of educational offerings and develop exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, conferences or markets on key topics in the context of environmental protection and sustainability
- You will be responsible for the further development of the Green Education concept and will lead and support projects to implement the goals
- They ensure the introduction of a new system for planning and managing educational events
- You participate in conferences and publications and give presentations
They bring
- University degree (Master) in environmental, natural, educational and/or social sciences with further training in project management and leadership
- Several years of professional experience and industry knowledge
- As a strong leader and winning personality, you can motivate employees to achieve common goals
- Conceptual, planning and digital skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours outside of normal business hours (Sunday and night work as well as weekend and holiday work)
