Team Fortress 2 has received the latest update, which does not come directly from the developers but the fans of the game. The release of the new extension by Valve resulted in a huge increase in the popularity of the production and set another record (the previous one was set in 2012). It was fun on the servers over 130,000 users simultaneouslyHowever, it should be noted that the statistics also include bots, which are a big problem for Team Fortress 2 users. At the time of writing, this number has dropped to 83,000 people, while in the past 24 hours it was 111,815 people. As part of the update, an event was introduced Scream Fortress XIIwhich is inspired by Halloween. The pack adds 4 maps (Megalo, Bloodwater, Hassle Castle and Moldergrove), 22 cosmetic items, 15 war paints and 19 effects, all created by the fans of the game.

Interestingly, Valve itself also contributed to this update by creating a few fixes. Although Team Fortress 2’s best years are behind it, it still keeps loyal users with them not only regularly spending time on servers, but also providing new content. Due to the fact that the production does not attract as much interest as before, the bots present on the servers have become a problem. Some time ago, they mastered the official game servers and we are talking not about the vast artificial intelligence, but characters that can effectively eliminate the opponent they encounter. Unfortunately, Valve seems to ignore the situation, as Team Fortress 2 is not an important title for the company, which is worth spending more time on.
Another problem is the cheaters present as in most multiplayer games. And here, what’s interesting, bots that you don’t like play their part. We are talking about Bot Extermination Services, which, with cheats enabled, attack only enemies that use boosters. They function in a similar way as Anti Bot Bot, i.e. a group of real players making it difficult for cheaters. However, these measures are not officially introduced by Valve, so the community has huge grudges against the developers for not doing anything with cheaters and also not developing their project.
