A team doctor and a physiotherapist from cycling team Arkéa-Samsic remain in jail for the time being. The Marseille prosecutor’s office confirmed this on Tuesday evening.

The French court announced on Monday that a preliminary investigation was started after numerous health products were found in the duo, including medicines, and especially a method that can be considered doping. The items were found on September 16 during the Tour in a hotel near Méribel. The team of leader Nairo Quintana was visited by members of the OCLAESP (an organization in France that monitors public health, among other things).
Some riders of the French team were also questioned.
The team doctor and physiotherapist risk five years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros. Riders also risk five years in prison and a fine of 375,000 euros for doping use.
