Definitely, this situation was not expected by anyone; neither educational authorities, parents, nor we teachers. We face it as a challenge, but together we overcome it. We were not prepared, but the education programs are flexible and we adapt.
What strategies have you used to be able to be in contact with the children from home?
Distance Physical Education seemed strange to all of us, but thank God we have had a lot of support from the educational authorities. We were trained in the use of platforms, and we have been using various electronic tools such as Zoom and Meet.
What have been the main obstacles you have faced?
First, learn well to use technology and achieve connectivity, since many families do not have internet and enough equipment. It is difficult for parents to support their children in the absence of time and when they have other occupations.
What do you miss the most about schools?
Yes, that socialization, the physical contact, the greeting, the smile of the children is very missed. All subjects are important in an integral part of education, but without a doubt our class is one of the most loved by children.
Did you initially imagine that the confinement was so long?
Of course not. We did not expect it to spread that much. Today we are already in March, a year after the problem began, and we do not imagine that it would last that long, but the truth is that we are eager and motivated to return, but, of course, respecting the protocols.
I think that teachers have to be already vaccinated to return to face-to-face classes, and do so with greater confidence.

What has this unexpected problem taught or left you as an experience?
Mainly I think that we value family and life more, because this brought us a lot of sadness and learning.
How do you expect the situation when you return to face-to-face classes?
It will be little by little and taking care of all the security protocols. Currently teachers and supervisors are preparing in constant communication in virtual meetings.
Any message to children and parents?
I ask you not to despair, that things are improving step by step. This going back is a process, and thank God it seems that we are closer to normality. I must thank the children and the parents, since without their efforts it would not have been possible to achieve it. Education is a triangulation between teacher, student and parent.
