Teachers in Afghan clothing Minister of education orders investigation

The Ministry of Education ordered, Wednesday March 3, 2021, the opening of an investigation responding to the requests of the Tunisian League of Human Rights (LTDH) about the unconstitutional practices of some teachers in two public schools in Chobrane in the governorate of Mahdia.

A report produced by journalists from Radio Monastir revealed that, in these two schools, some teachers had decided to make their own law. It is in Afghan clothes that these few officials of the Ministry of Education give their lessons and in classes where the girls have been separated from the boys.

Scientific and educational subjects have been removed from the curriculum and illustrations are prohibited.

Everything was happening with the knowledge and sight of the directors of the schools concerned without any action being taken against the teachers and without the authorities being notified.

The Ministry of Education has indicated its intention to send inspectors to the scene to investigate and called on the regional education delegation to follow the case closely.
