Evaluating various cases, the Ministry of Education and Science concludes that it is not possible to identify all potential risks, but especially in summer, when children are often left unattended, they need special reminders about safety on the streets and roads, near water and electricity, precautions in public places, at home and the Internet. It is important that children know clearly where to turn for help if needed.

Parents must not forget that, according to the Law on the Protection of the Rights of the Child, children under the age of seven may not be left unattended. If childcare is entrusted to a brother or sister, they must be at least 13 years old.
