“Teach with a Pen” Social Empowerment Project Receives Support from Al Khalidiya Suburb Council in Sharjah

SHARJAH, 4th April, 2020 (WAM) — The Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment has received financial support worth half a million dirhams from the Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, which the Foundation allocated to support the “Science with a Pen” project that supports the education of orphans affiliated with the Foundation.

Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment, said: We thank all the efforts made by the Khalidiya Suburb Council, and especially their generous donation and humanitarian initiative, which came for the second year in a row, and which will be allocated to support the educational aspect represented by the academic project “teach with a pen”, which plays a pivotal role. In giving orphans fair opportunities to complete their right to education.

For his part, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al-Marri, Chairman of the Khalidiya Suburb Council, said that the council is keen to develop the roles of humanitarian and charitable institutions, which consolidates the role of the community council.

It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment is committed to providing comprehensive care for orphans to ensure a decent life for them by providing programs that qualify them for empowerment and self-reliance educationally, economically, professionally and socially, and supporting widows by providing continuous support to them and achieving emergency humanitarian and social responses to them in order to preserve the dignity of the orphan and achieve psychological and material satisfaction for him and his family .
