TCL introduced NxtPaper imaging technology a few years ago. Screens with this technology are designed to reduce glare, reduce visual impact and provide eye comfort while maintaining vibrant colors. So far, the company has only a few gadgets with this technology: three tablets and one convertible laptop. Today, however, TCL introduced the TCL 40 NxtPaper and TCL 40 NxtPaper 5G, the first smartphones to feature NxtPaper technology.
TCL 40 NxtPaper
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.78-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a special e-reader mode that uses gray tones to reduce eye strain while reading. The gadget can even be used as a notepad with the optional T-Pen case.
The novelty also received a Helio G88 processor, 8 GB of RAM (expandable using virtual memory up to 8 GB), 256 GB of internal memory, a 5010 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging, stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm headphone jack .
For selfies, there is a 32 MP front camera. The triple main camera includes a 50 MP module, a 5 MP wide camera and a 2 MP macro module.
TCL 40 NxtPaper 5G
As the name suggests, this is a 5G smartphone. But it differs from TCL 40 NxtPaper not only in this. It comes with a smaller 6.6-inch 90Hz HD+ screen, a Dimensity 6020 processor, 6GB of RAM (+6GB of virtual storage), and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support.
The triple main camera consists of a 50 MP sensor, a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. The front camera has only 8 MP. There are also no stereo speakers (only one speaker) and no 3.5mm headphone jack.
