TC Hörnli Kreuzlingen faces uncertain interclub future in women’s NLA

TC Hörnli Kreuzlingen, an interclub sunshine in the women’s NLA

The TC Hörnli Kreuzlingen is not only a crowd puller in the women’s National League A. This year, Ralph Zepfel and Tobias Klein’s team is also impressing on the courts. This does not change the fact that the highest interclub league faces an uncertain future.

If the good old final weekend still existed in the Interclub NLA, TC Hörnli Kreuzlingen would be fourth in the table in 2024. Captain Ralph Zepfel’s team was one of the positive surprises in the highest Swiss tennis league this week. Lena Papadakis, Nadine Keller, newcomer Sarina Schnyder, Paula Cembranos, Sophie Lüscher and Anina Durrer – who started as outsiders – confidently left Mail Neuchâtel behind. And that’s not all: In a cross-comparison with Froburg Trimbach, a single lost set decided the Thurgau team’s disadvantage. Kreuzlingen was even able to keep up with the finalists Dählhölzli Bern and Grasshoppers Zurich.
