Almere Oostvaarderskliniek suspended or fired nine employees in a few months due to abuse. This is confirmed by the Agency of Judicial Institutions (DJI) after reporting by The Telegraph.
Minister Franc Weerwind (Legal Protection) has already placed the clinic under receivership at the end of September due to “very serious” integrity violations.
This is, for example, an employee who allegedly forced a patient to perform sexual acts. A manager also suspended for signs of transgressive behavior towards various employees. Additionally, one employee was fired because he was having a sexual relationship with a TBS person.
The director therefore decided to step down from his post. According to the DJI, he did it for personal reasons.
The spokesperson said nine internal employee investigations were launched recently. They have not yet been completed.
