Taylor Wessing advises myClubs on sale to Urban Sports Club

Vienna/Berlin. Taylor Wessing advises the shareholders of the Austrian market leader myClubs on the takeover by competitor Urban Sports Club from Berlin.

Taylor Wessing advised the shareholders of myClubs from Austria on the takeover by the German competitor Urban Sports Club, according to a press release.

The purchase object

According to the information, myClubs is the largest sports aggregator in Austria and Switzerland with over 1,200 sports providers. Specifically, since 2014, customers have been offered flexible sports subscriptions and access to various sports and boutique studios. The offer is used by employees of around 300 companies, including EY, Samsung and Pfizer. There is a partnership with Rewe’s jö Bonus Club; digital fitness products for health insurers such as SWICA, Helsana and CSS are also part of the range.

After the takeover by the Berlin-based company Urban Sports Club, the aim is to jointly establish a corporate fitness offering throughout the DACH region and to drive forward the digital development of fitness offerings in Europe, it is said.
