Scott Swift, 71, is suspected of assaulting a photographer who was taking pictures of a private yacht his daughter was on at the time. Photographer Ben McDonald (51) told AFP that he was turned away by security guards and ‘punched in the face’ by Taylor’s father.
A spokesperson for Taylor told the AFP news agency that ‘two people aggressively pushed themselves forward’. The spokesperson could not say whether Swift’s father intervened. Speaking to Billboard, the singer’s spokesperson said the photographer and a second person allegedly grabbed her security staff and “threatened to throw a female staff member into the water.”
According to Australian media, Swift has now left by private jet for Singapore, where she will continue her world tour.
