Taylor Swift will soon unveil her first novel. A work written 20 years ago.
Nothing stops Taylor Swift. While she has been on her world tour “The Eras Tour” for over a year, the artist unveiled her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department” four months ago. Alongside this new opus, the singer continues to re-record her old albums stolen by Scooter Braun. Many projects that do not prevent the young woman from embarking on new adventures. And for good reason. According to information gathered by “The Sun”, Taylor Swift will soon unveil her very first novel, entitled “A Girl Called Girl”. This work was apparently written by the singer when she was 14 years old and tells the story of a mother who hoped to have a son but who ends up with a daughter.
This isn’t the first time the public has heard of this story. In 2015, Taylor Swift filed the rights to the name and story of her book. Recently, she filed the rights to a brand of merchandise derived from the novel, as well as the audio versions.
Taylor Swift and writing
A new project that is far from surprising for the singer of “Cruel Summer”. Indeed, Taylor Swift is known for her writing and storytelling talents. Over the years, she has become a renowned lyricist, making her lyrics her signature: “Everyone in music has their specialty that allows them to stand out from the others,” she explained to “Time Magazine” in 2023. Before becoming a singer, Taylor Swift had ambitions to become a writer: “All my friends had gone back to Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do. I had a revelation: I’m going to be a novelist. I would write different chapters of the book and send them back to my friends, who were in the story under different names, but I described their personalities perfectly,” she confided in 2012 about “A Girl Called Girl”.
