Two children were killed and nine injured in a stabbing attack in Southport, southwest England, this week. Singer Taylor Swift says she is extremely shocked by what happened.
The 17-year-old suspect attacked a community space that offers events for parents and children, where Taylor Swift, aimed at 6-11 year olds, was in progress -themed yoga, dance and craft event.
Swift writes in the Stories section of Instagram that it is difficult for her to find words for what happened. Stories can be viewed 24 hours after publication.
– The horror caused by yesterday’s Southport attack is on my mind all the time, I am completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, as well as the terrible trauma, affects everyone who was there, the families and the first responders.
– It was a dance lesson for small children. I am completely lost and I don’t know how to convey my condolences to their families, Swift writes.
According to North West England Ambulance Service, the victims were taken to three different hospitals. The police are not investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.
