Taylor Swift Releases Trailer for ‘Fortnight’ Music Video Ahead of Album Launch

The Tortured Poets Department: Taylor Swift Teases “Fortnight” Music Video With Post Malone

{Publication Date}

Musical sensation Taylor Swift has surprised fans with a preview of her upcoming music video for the track “Fortnight,” a collaborative effort with Post Malone.

Four hours prior to the release of her highly anticipated album “The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor Swift took to social media to share a six-second trailer of the music video for her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.

In the post, Swift captions the video with, “At this hearing, I stand before my fellow members of The Tortured Poets Department with a summary of my findings,” offering eager fans a presave link for the album release and announcing the music video premiere after 8pm ET.

The trailer commences with a typewriter reminiscent of an earlier era passionately repeating the phrase “I love you, it’s ruining”, intentionally omitting the rest of the sentence. The short clip then introduces individuals typing aggressively away in a dystopian, snow-white office—revealing Malone and Swift—before unveiling a footage of Swift, seemingly restrained by a peculiar contraption.

Interwoven throughout the trailer, there’s a glimpse of Malone and Swift embracing on a highway with Swift elegantly draped in a black dress while engulfed by the fury of burning paper pieces.

Sharing her excitement, Taylor Swift tweeted, “I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song.”

Aside from her collaboration with Malone, “The Tortured Poets Department” includes other notable features such as a partnership with Florence + the Machine on the track “Florida!!!” Furthermore, the album will showcase tracks like “So Long, London” and “Guilty as Sin?”

Earlier this year, Taylor Swift announced her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” following her Grammy win for Best Pop Vocal Album, “Midnights.” Swift’s social media platform became the go-to avenue for the artist to reveal the album cover and tactical lyrics to a song from the album, captivating fans with her poetic prowess.

In her Instagram Story, Swift hinted at possible lyrics on the day of the solar eclipse, sharing a black-and-white video of a typewriter emphatically punching the words, “Crowd goes wild at her fingertips, half moonshine, full eclipse.”
