According to German intelligence sources, they had obtained a vehicle equipped with a flashing blue light and a siren. The plan was to approach the Ernst Happel Stadium under the guise of an emergency vehicle. Once close, the attackers intended to run over concert-goers before exiting the vehicle to attack people with knives and machetes, and finally blow themselves up.
Concerts in Vienna have been cancelled
In response to the cancellation, Taylor Swift has confirmed that her London shows will go ahead with heightened security measures. The Metropolitan Police have increased precautions, including metal detectors and intensive cooperation with event security teams.
