After being forced to cancel the dates of her Eras Tour in Austria due to threats of attacks and after the attack in Southport which cost the lives of three young girls, the American singer has chained the last dates of her European tour and has taken up residence in London for no less than eight concerts at Wembley Stadium. At the end of this 8th and final show on Tuesday, she broke a record and surpassed Michael Jackson in 1988.
Taylor Swift is the queen of all financial records and has just broken another one: “You’ve just made me the first solo artist to play Wembley eight times in one tour.”, said the 34-year-old star on stage. “We can never, ever thank you enough for that.”
For this final European date, she invited Florence Welsch, singer of Florence and the Machine, and a long-time friend and collaborator, Jack Antonoff, lead singer of Bleachers, to sing with her.
It’s the end of Europe for Taylor Swift who is returning home for several more dates in the United States and Canada.
