Taylor Swift (31) will be the very first woman in history to secure the Global Icon award during the Brit Awards.

Not only that. The American pop star is also the first non-British artist to receive the award – as according to BBC is the most generous honor one can receive under the auspices of the Brit Awards.
Only three other musicians have received the award before her – Elton John (74), the late David Bowie and Robbie Williams (47).

The music award ceremony will be held on Tuesday. About 4,000 people will be present at the huge London O2 Arena. Infection control considerations mean that the arena is only filled with a fifth of what it can otherwise accommodate by guests.
According to the BBC, it is not expected that Swift will perform during the award ceremony.
However, it will be Coldplay, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Olivia Rodgrigo, Headie One and more.
Swift may run away with another award, if she wins in the category «Best international female solo artist». She has won it once before, more specifically in 2015.
