There are fans who emulate their idol and attend concert after concert, and then there are those who, after seeing their favorite star live and in color, offer their used contact lenses for sale. After all, the lenses saw something others didn’t – namely, Taylor Swift. This is exactly what a person from the USA has now done. Because after seeing the pop star on her Eras tour, she decided to sell her lenses for a lot of money.
On the Depop platform, the fan offered the visual aids for a whopping $ 10,000, “used but in very good condition”. Next to the photo of the shriveled contact lenses is addressed to Taylor: “I’m such a loyal fan to you!”. The offer is now offline again, but a Screenshot it’s still circulating on the web.

The Twitter community reacted with mixed feelings. Some can’t believe anyone actually does something like this. “This is ridiculous,” writes one person. “Now I’ve really seen everything,” says another. Another user is annoyed that he didn’t have this idea too. “Why didn’t I think of something like that?”. Apparently, Taylor Swift fans are really, really committed, as another person notes, “That wouldn’t be the first absurd thing the fandom has done.”
A swiftie himself calls the situation “out of control”. But: “I love us for that!”. As another Twitter user writes, he’s sure some hardcore fans would take the big bid, as many would just do anything to get as close as possible to their idol. He should be right about that. Because as you can also read on Twitter, fans would be really willing to spend money on it. “You know what? If I hadn’t gotten concert tickets, I would have bought them”, can be read on the social network. “If I had the money, I would buy it,” agrees another person.
The following user, who would simply offer the contact lenses for sale a lot cheaper, finds a completely different approach: “I think someone would actually buy them if the price was a lot more reasonable and there would be evidence that the seller actually attended the concert. A reasonable price would be around $45.”
