Taylor Swift has changed the lyrics of her song ‘Karma’ during a performance in Argentina last night (November 11) to shout out her boyfriend Travis Kelce mid-performance.
After weeks of speculation about a romance with Kelce, Swift appeared to address the rumors when she changed the lyrics to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.” straight home with me) to the enormous cheers of the audience and Kelce himself, who was also present watching the show.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been the subject of weeks of press attention after reports surfaced that he was dating the pop star. At the end of last night’s show, Swift confirmed the rumors when she was caught running off stage to kiss Kelce, confirming their relationship.
Swift was spotted watching a game in September from a box at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City with Kelce’s mother. She also attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the New York Jets in October with a slew of stars, including Sophie Turner, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and most recently with Kelce at a restaurant in Argentina.
Although the American football star has not yet formally confirmed or denied a relationship between the two, he has addressed the media storm that has been unleashed.
“We’re learning from the paparazzi taking photos everywhere,” Kelce said during a press conference (via Associated Press). “But at the same time, you know, it comes with it. There are a lot of people who care about Taylor, and rightly so. You just have to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments.”
On Friday (November 10), Swift announced the cancellation of her concert in Argentina due to bad weather.
The singer has just started the Latin American leg of her “Eras” tour, which kicked off in Buenos Aires on Thursday (November 9). Apparently, fans have been camping since June.
On Friday, Swift took to X/Twitter to announce that her show tonight (November 10) had been cancelled. “I love rain shows, but I will never put my fans or my peers in danger,” she wrote. “We have rescheduled tonight’s show in Buenos Aires for Sunday because the weather is so chaotic that it would be unsafe to try to do this concert. The good news is that I will be able to stay longer in Argentina.”
The show has been rescheduled for tonight (November 12).
It was also announced on Friday that the singer had received six Grammy nominations. At the ceremony, which will take place on February 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles (California), the pop star could make history.
With 52 career nominations and 12 wins, her 2022 LP “Midnights” ties her with icon Barbra Streisand for the most nominations by a female artist in the Album of the Year category. If she wins, Swift would become the first to win that category four times.
