American pop star Taylor Swift revealed on Wednesday that she felt a “new sense of fear” after the authorities revealed a plot to attack the venue of her three concerts in Vienna, as well as felt guilty for disappointing his fans by canceling the concerts.
The singer also praised the authorities for stopping the attack plot at the Ernst Happel stadium where her concerts were scheduled to take place.
In her first public comment since news of the attack broke two weeks ago, Swift said on her Instagram account, “Thanks to them, we’re sad for concerts, not life.”
Austrian police arrested a 19-year-old man and said he confessed to wanting to cause a “bloodbath” at Swift’s concerts.
“Cancelling our shows in Vienna was terrible,” Swift said.
Swift said she decided to “direct all my energy to help protect the nearly half a million people who came to see the shows in London.” “
The London concerts were held without incident and ended on Tuesday, ending the European leg of the “Eras Tour” for the ages.
The singer said she did not comment earlier because she did not want to risk harm at future performances.
“Let me be very clear: I won’t talk about anything in public if I think it might encourage those who want to hurt the fans who come to my shows… ” she wrote.
Swift’s concert tour will now enter a pre-scheduled hiatus before she resumes her concerts between October and December in the United States and Canada.
