New York police arrested a 52-year-old man who tried to break into Taylor Swift’s apartment on Saturday night, writes Page Six. The man turned out to be wanted after he failed to show up for his trial in another case earlier this month.
Swift has three apartments in the same building in the Tribeca neighborhood. She has contracted two of them into a penthouse of just under 750 square meters. She also owns the house next to the apartment complex.
It is not the first time that her home has been the target of burglars. In 2019, a man was arrested who tried to enter the singer’s home for the second time. He had already been sentenced to six months in prison for a burglary in the apartment, where he was eventually found sleeping on the sofa by security guards.
In an interview with the New York Post this man later stated that he had no ill intentions. “I just want to talk to her because she seems nice and cool.”
