Taxus Taxi Foundation Delays Yew Collection in 2023 due to Processing Issues

August 26, 2023 – Every year, the Taxus Taxi Foundation collects yew trimmings that are processed into cancer medicines. Not this year, however. This is not a personal choice, the cause lies with the factories that process the prunings into medicines against cancer. They are currently unable to receive new clippings because they are still processing other materials and last year’s clippings.

“Unfortunately, we have to report that the yew collection will not start again until 2024. Due to ongoing problems with the processors of the trimmings, we have no choice but to skip a year. We very much regret not being able to collect the precious twigs this year. If you still want to support our foundation, you can do so this year with a small financial donation.”

More information can be found on the website taxustaxi.nl. If you would like to make a donation, go to www.taxustaxi.nl/gift.

For more than 15 years, the Taxus Taxi Foundation has committed itself with heart and soul to the fight against cancer by collecting yew trimmings every year. The substance from the yew needles is used to combat breast, stomach, esophagus, prostate, lung, ovary and skin cancer.
