Taxis cost almost the same in 2021

Taxi fares are frozen nationally for 2021, except for certain trips in Nice.

If you take a taxi at the beginning of the year, know that the regulated prices of the races have not changed at the national level. Indeed, the decree which fixes the prices was published in the Official Journal December 29 and he specifies that there is no change in costs. The support is 4.18 euros and the price per kilometer traveled must not exceed 1.12 euros. The minimum package for a race is always 7.30 euros. The prices are indicated for Paris, Lyon, Nice or Toulouse: the costs of the supplements are detailed, such as the number of passengers beyond five people, the cost of immediate reservation, in advance or with a pick-up outside the parking area, for example.

The packages for airport pick-up do not change, except for departure from Nice airport, note Capital. The race is now set at 85 euros to go to Cannes, ie five euros more than in 2020. Ditto for going to Monaco, 95 euros this year instead of 90 euros last year. This request for an increase in the fares of taxis from the south-east from Nice airport “Unfortunately took place before the Covid-19 epidemic”, explains to the magazine Eric Matteoda, president of the National Taxi Union (UNT) of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. This choice would not have been made if the meetings with Bercy had taken place later than January and February 2020.

Same prices for Paris and Toulouse airports

Indeed, at the national level, the UNT has not requested any increase in the prices of taxi fares due to the health crisis. Thus, the journey from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport remains fixed at 53 euros to get to Rive Droite and 58 euros to get to Rive Gauche. For the trip between Paris-Orly airport and Rive Droite, the amount is 37 euros and 32 euros for Rive Gauche. For Toulouse-Blagnac airport, the fare varies from 15 euros to 45 euros between zone 1 and zone 4.
