Taxing Multinationals: AUR’s Solution for Romanian Economy and Equality

Commitment taken live on TV!. The first thing George Simion will do if AUR comes to power in 2024

George Simion found the solution for the multinationals that make money in Romania, directed outside: the taxation by law of the turnover.

The first thing the AUR Government will do will be to tax multinationals with 1%, warned George Simion, on Romania TV, on Sunday evening.

“The taxation of multinationals should have been done for a long time by Marcel Ciolacu, who promised it. 1% taxation of multinationals. We want equal opportunities for Romanian entrepreneurs!

We have the list – there are those who cut our forests, Austrian companies, those who build our roads, insurance companies, telephone companies! Many of the hypermarkets. More than 150 companies.

Romanian businesses, 93% of the companies in Romania, pay taxes, but here they are fined! Romanian employees pay the highest taxes in the EU, 47%,” said George Simion, on Romania TV.

George Simion (AUR): “We have no problem with those who work properly in our country! The problem is with those who don’t pay taxes!”

The AUR leader found the explanation for the hole in the national budget.

“Why is there no money in the budget? Romania spent too much on the war in Ukraine. We are not told! Because money was stolen during the pandemic! There was the commission of inquiry in the Parliament – isolation units, modular hospitals, they were never used.

We want equality for Romanians and foreigners! (…) A 1% tax (no – on turnover) for everyone, I think would solve the problem. It will be the first AUR measure, when it reaches the government.

We have no problem with those who work properly in our country! The problem is with those who don’t pay taxes! We pay the most expensive prices for food!”, George Simion also commented.
