Taxi Maxík has changed to Senior Taxi. The service was taken over in Budějovice by the transport company – Zdopravy.cz

The transport service for the elderly in České Budějovice over 65 and people with disabilities has changed its operator and name. While until now it was provided by Charita České Budějovice under the name Taxik Maxík, from October 1 it was taken over by the transport company and renamed as Senior Taxi.

“What is very nice in my opinion is that people no longer travel in the original old vehicle, but in two completely new cars. And there is also a new possibility to use a payment card in addition to paying in cash,” said Deputy Mayor Lubomír Bureš. “We are willing to respond to every citizen’s request for premium taxi transportation, thus doubling the capacity of the service,” added Slavoj Dolejš, director of the České Budějovice City Transport Company.

Interested parties can order Senior Taxi by phone at 731 604 499 no later than 24 hours before the intended trip, or a maximum of 30 days in advance. The price of transportation is 60 crowns per person.

If a senior citizen or a person with a ZTP card travels with the person accompanying them, they pay 30 crowns more. People who have a ZTP/P card also pay 60 crowns, their companions have free transport. Citizens can also use the services with assistance and guide dogs.
