At least five people were hit by a taxi in Manhattan on Monday, the New York City Police announced.
The incident occurred around 1:00 pm in the section of 1186 Broadway when the vehicle hit pedestrians on the sidewalk and then ended up against a building, the uniformed officer added. This between 28th and 29th streets in the Flatiron District.
The taxi driver stayed at the scene.
The condition of the victims and the cause of the crash were not released. It is also not known if charges have been filed.
