The Berlin police are looking for photos of a previously unknown person who is said to have attacked a taxi driver in Schöneberg at the end of March this year. The crime happened on March 31, 2022, around 9:40 p.m. at the Schöneberg S-Bahn station. The 62-year-old taxi driver stopped at the underpass of the train station there to let his unknown guest, whom he had previously taken from the taxi rank on Richard-von-Weizsäcker-Platz, get off. When he started the payment process, the passenger suddenly hit him in the head with a mobile phone and demanded money. The victim gave nothing, got out quickly and tried to prevent the man from escaping by locking the passenger door. However, this did not work and the stranger managed to escape. He then ran to the S-Bahn station, where alarmed police forces then searched for him in vain. He escaped. The taxi driver suffered pain in his head, which he did not seek treatment for.
