There are only two more days to settle personal income tax (PIT) for 2021. The Ministry of Finance encourages you to use the Your e-PIT service, which allows you to settle your tax quickly without leaving your home.

According to the regulations, the statutory settlement date with the tax office is 30 April. However, as this day falls on a Saturday, taxpayers have until May 2 to file their tax returns.

Tax returns must be submitted by May 2 by taxpayers who settle their income from contract work, pensions and pensions, as well as entrepreneurs who pay taxes on general principles or with the use of a flat rate. You can do this by completing your tax return on paper and submitting your tax return by mail or by filing it with the tax office, or you can submit your return online using interactive forms.

You can also submit a tax return using the Twój e-PIT service, under which the taxpayer can access the pre-completed tax return after logging in. The taxpayer may correct the declaration by supplementing it with, for example, tax credits, the declaration may be filled in anew and accepted without corrections. If someone does not take advantage of any reliefs, even those resulting from a joint settlement with their spouse, they may not perform any activities, and then the MF system will automatically consider the return completed under your e-PIT final as of the last deadline for submitting tax returns.

The testimony by May 2 must also be submitted by persons who obtained revenues from the sale of securities, shares in companies or shares in a cooperative and other derivative financial instruments. In addition, during this period, also taxpayers who obtain income from lease, tenancy or other contracts of a similar nature, as well as from the sale of processed plant and animal products. They can also use the pre-filled tax return in the Your e-PIT service, but this type of tax forms is not automatically accepted.
