Many people may wonder whether tax thresholds will be changed in 2024. Why? During the election campaign, the issue of tributes paid to the state was raised many times. Same as, anyway tax-free amount, the increase of which was among the key political declarations of some groups.

Already at the beginning of the term of the new Sejm, there was an attempt to implement changes related to the tax-free amount. Currently it is 30 thousand. PLN, which – as explained by biznes.interia.pl – in practice means that taxpayers whose income does not exceed this amount will then be exempt from tax. During the election campaign, the Civic Coalition proposed an increase in the tax-free amount to PLN 60,000. zloty. For now, however, there are no clear and certain signals that this is the case the tax-free amount was increased in 2024.

Taxpayers should familiarize themselves with the changes that will enter into force at the beginning of 2024. For this reason, some people expected that tax thresholds may change. Currently, the first tax threshold applies to income up to PLN 120,000. PLN per year – for this amount the tax rate is 12%. On the other hand the second tax threshold applies to the surplus of over PLN 120,000. PLN of income and then the taxpayer will be taxed at 32%. Current economic events and political declarations indicate that no changes will be introduced in this matter.
