Tax bill: The new data for declarations – The pretense fee is abolished –

The new tax bill was presented on Tuesday morning by Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis and Deputy Ministers Christos Dimas and Thanos Petralias. During the press conference there was a detailed presentation of the upcoming changes.

Beyond the tipping part, the Minister announced changes to tax declarations, the pretense fee and also to the operating model of AADE.

In his introductory speech, Mr. Hatzidakis emphasized: “Today we will present to you four important changes that modernize the tax legislation and affect in one way or another all or at least large categories of taxpayers. These changes will be part of a more comprehensive tax bill. Bill of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, which will include the initiatives that we have already announced and the Prime Minister announced at the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki.

In other words, the twelve pay raises and the twelve tax cuts we’ve been talking about. This bill will also include the incentives for mergers and innovation, which have also been introduced, but will be included in the bill. And those four major changes that we’re going to talk to you about right away, we’re coming in and fixing the issues that have come up in terms of tipping.

As you know, there was several decades of legislation. In fact, on the basis of which the tip was considered income and taxable until now. The government immediately listening to the opinions expressed by all stakeholders, comes and legislates with a regulation that has other individual parameters, as Mr. Dimas then presents, but as its main core it has the introduction of a tax-free tip on tips up to 300 euros per month for hundreds of thousands of workers”.

Tax declarations: No more extensions, a discount is set, “bells” are coming

In the part of the tax declarations it was pointed out that they will be submitted from March 15 to July 15. In fact, it was clarified that from now on this period will be the final one and there will be no extensions as was the case until now.

From there on, a graduated discount was introduced. This will reach 4% if the declaration is submitted three months before the expiry of the deadline and the corresponding tax is paid once. The specific rate will drop to 3% if the procedure is done two months before the deadline and 2% if the submission and payment is made in the expiration month. The Government’s aim is to weaken the 8 installments process.

At the same time, Mr. Hatzidakis pointed out that there will be a fine of up to 2,500 euros to businesses, organizations and public bodies that delay the issuance of salary certificates or send inaccurate certificates.

The curtain falls at the end of the show

Kostis Hatzidakis announced the abolition of the pre-tax fee for all natural persons without exception, i.e. also for self-employed people with a pad. After this arrangement that all natural persons will not pay a pretense fee from the 25th onwards.

Changes in AADE as well

AADE will now operate with a new management model. According to the announcements made, we will have a redistribution of responsibilities between the governor and the board of directors.

Another important change that will exist compared to today is that there will be a provision for a second renewal of the AADE governor with a judgment from the board of directors. In addition, there will be the possibility of hiring managers from the private sector.
