In total, the Tax and Customs Administration expects to receive about 9.4 million returns during this reporting period. In the first week that a tax return could be filed, the tax authorities’ system was constantly struggling with malfunctions. The latest date on which a declaration could be filed has therefore been moved from 1 to 8 May.

The period within which notification about the declaration is returned has also been extended: everyone who submitted the declaration before 8 April will be notified before 1 July. Who was there very quickly and was not bothered by the malfunctions will already be clarified this month.
The Tax Information Line has now had about 10,000 people on the line with questions about their tax return. Another 20,000 people are expected to call. Most questions concern deductions and healthcare costs.
