Tauron announced on Thursday that in 2023 it had PLN 50.7 billion in revenues from sales and compensation, and EBITDA amounted to almost PLN 6.15 billion. Gross profit reached PLN 2.3 billion, and net profit – almost PLN 1.68 billion. These results are much better than in 2022, when the company had a net loss of PLN 134 million. In terms of profits, they are also better than those from the four previous years.
The company also published preliminary data for the fourth quarter of last year. They show that it had almost PLN 12.1 billion in revenues, PLN 674 million in EBITDA, PLN 431 million in operating losses, PLN 713 million in gross losses and PLN 585 million in net losses.

Why the loss in the last quarter?
Tauron previously reported that reducing the valuation of the investment in Tameh Holding will reduce the result The EBITDA of the Tauron group for the fourth quarter of 2023 by PLN 274 million (by PLN 179 million in the entire last year), and the operating result by PLN 582 million in the fourth quarter and PLN 487 million in the entire last year.
The PAP Biznes consensus prepared earlier assumed that the group’s revenues in the fourth quarter would amount to PLN 12 billion, EBITDA to PLN 560 million, and a net loss to PLN 160.7 million. However, the consensus did not take into account the latest information from the company.
In the fourth quarter, Tauron had almost PLN 1.48 billion of capital expenditure, and in the entire 2023 – over PLN 4.36 billion.
Tauron reported that the presented financial results are estimates and may change. The final values will be presented in the 2023 report, scheduled for publication on April 18, 2024.
