Taunted by Tottenham supporters, John Terry replied by showing off a trophy

London

John Terry got ridiculed when Aston Villa beat Tottenham Hotspur. The former Chelsea defender responded with a trophy.

Aston Villa won in front of Tottenham supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, Thursday (20/5/2021) early morning hrs. The Villa won 2-1.

In that match, around 10 thousand fans watched Tottenham – after being allowed to return to the stadium. Chant-chants were heard again to support Harry Kane et al.

There is also a chant that is intended to attack the opponent. One of them scoffed John Terry, Villa assistant manager who is also a former Chelsea player, rival club Tottenham.

In his chant, fans Tottenham said that Ledley King, the former defender, was better than Terry.

Terry then responded to this. Through his social media, the former England national team captain teased him with a series of trophies.

Terry uploaded a post on Twitter, which contained taunts of Tottenham fans. Then, the 40-year-old man just added a laugh emoji and a row of trophy logos.

Terry’s post is a counter insinuation, that his trophy streak is more than King, or even his Tottenham.

King himself defended Tottenham from 1998 to 2012. He has a record of 323 appearances and scored 14 goals, and was ‘only’ able to present the Premier League Cup in 2008, which was Tottenham’s last title to date.

While John Terry more complete, having won the title of the English League champion to the Champions League with Chelsea.

In the match earlier today, Villa itself won 2-1 over Tottenham. Coming from behind through Steven Bergwijn’s goal, Dean Smith’s men turned to win through Sergio Reguilon’s suicide and Ollie Watkins’ goal.
