FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR – Chairman of DPD I Golkar South Sulawesi, Taufan Pawe emphasized that he is ready to work straight for Golkar and serve the people. There is no adventurous work.
He also did not want to decide prematurely and unilaterally to take on the mandate as Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran Regional Winning Team (TPD) in South Sulawesi. That is why he opened up space for compromise to all supporting political parties.
Although there was news circulating that the position of Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran TPD in South Sulawesi belonged to Golkar. But he didn’t want to be one-sided. He still upholds the element of consensus in making these decisions.
“Reportedly, it was discussed at the DPP regarding the winning team in South Sulawesi for Prabowo-Gibran. There is talk, preferably Golkar. But I am now in a position to open space for compromise to all supporting parties. “If anyone wants it, if anyone is ready, please,” he said at a press conference in Makassar, Friday, November 10.
He further said that next Sunday there will be a meeting between senior officials of the party supporting Prabowo-Gibran. It is predicted that the meeting will also discuss the appointment of the Prabowo-Gibran TPD Chair in South Sulawesi.
“Pak Andi Iwan has invited all senior officials from the Prabowo-Gibran party in South Sulawesi to meet on Sunday evening,” he added.
However, the meeting could have been to convey that there was already a winning chairman appointed by the center for South Sulawesi. However, he emphasized that if Golkar gave orders, he would never back down.
“We also don’t know whether there will be a linear order from the center. Who knows, maybe there will be a decision that South Sulawesi will be the head of this, that and so on. “But if that is the party’s order, I will not relent,” he said firmly.
